Mr. Owoeye is an Environmental Manager at OAIS (the Environmental Arm) at Ibadan, Nigeria, where he conducts projects related to Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Social Governance (ESG).

He is a native of Osun State, and holds a Bachelor’s degree with Second-class (Upper Division) in Biology, and a Master’s degree in Environmental Biology and Public Health from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA), Nigeria. With professional experiences in Academics, Food-processing, Pharmaceuticals, Pest Management and Environmental management, he has a dynamic understanding of diverse fields of functional processes. Mr. Owoeye’s desire to provide significant social interventions by addressing pertinent issues, has led him to work with organisations such as Family Health International (FHI) and USAID, where his activities spanned through research, health awareness, environmental sustainability, and youth empowerment.

From winning a National Best Essay Award at the 2002 National Youth Festival for Arts and Culture (NAYOUFEST), Mr. Owoeye has gone on to become a recipient of the Association of Commonwealth Universities’ (ACU) Summer School Scholarship to attend the 2014 Summer School on Global Food Security at the University of Nottingham, Malaysia Campus, where he and other participants helped proffer solutions to achieving global food security. He was awarded a position as a Senior Judge for The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition, by The Royal Commonwealth Society in 2015. In the same year, his research team at FUTA won a national grant worth millions of naira to investigate the use of bio-pesticide of plant origin as better alternatives to chemicals in the control pests of Cocoa in Nigeria.

He has earned certificates in Strategies for Personal Growth; Workforce Collaboration and Development; and Management Strategies for People and Resources. These coupled with his professional experiences in FMCG, and Academia validate his proficiency at providing direction and identifying opportunities for individuals and emerging enterprises.

Mr. Owoeye is actively involved in youth development and believes his open-mindedness and poise will challenge people positively and enable him to contribute effectively to global development.

His recent interest in Environmental Protection earned him a Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarship to pursue another Master’s degree in Public Health (specializing in Environment and Public Health) at the University of Manchester, UK. He partners with Dr. Macaulay to run the operational affairs of iLLUMANIA.
